Join with WRJ to celebrate Uniongram Day and support the YES Fund
- Put an article in your sisterhood or Temple Bulletin recounting the history of the Uniongram and explaining how money raised through the sale of Uniongrams supports the YES Fund.*
- Send a Uniongram or Uniongram e-card to someone in your sisterhood to say that you’re thinking of her, or celebrate by sending Uniongrams to your clergy, thanking them for their support of sisterhood.
- Have a “Uniongram Writing Party” as part of your January board meeting or sisterhood program. Ask your members to each buy a packet of Uniongrams and set aside time for them to write their Uniongrams; or have them bring their computers and send Uniongram e-cards. Prepare a list of contact information for various “target groups,” such as your religious school teachers, the teens in your confirmation class, your volunteer choir, the officers of your youth group, the women who volunteer in your gift shop, your temple board, your temple staff, our soldiers in Iraq – the list could go on!
Money raised through the sale of Uniongrams goes to the YES Fund (Youth, Education, and Special Projects), to:
- Train and inspire future leaders of our congregations and the Jewish community through educational and cultural programs for high school and college-age youth.
- Educate our rabbinic students through scholarships and grants. These rabbis serve Reform and Progressive congregations and communities in North America, Israel, and around the world.
- Support special projects for service and humanitarian causes in the areas of social justice, human rights, early childhood education, women's rights, and world peace.
