Sisterhood Leadership Conference 2009

Join us in New Orleans for WRJ's sisterhood leadership conference which provides an excellent opportunity for current and up-and-coming sisterhood leaders to:

  • Hone your leadership skills and learn new organizational techniques
  • Exchange exciting program ideas with your peers from around North America
  • Find out more about what WRJ does and can do for local sisterhoods
  • Share your sisterhood successes and challenges
  • Bond with women who share the same values
  • Hear many stories about post-Katrina New Orleans

The $250 registration fee includes:

  • Admission to all general sessions, workshops, and worship
  • Friday Shabbat dinner, Saturday breakfast and lunch, plus Sunday brunch
  • Saturday night jazz dinner cruise aboard the Paddlewheeler Creole Queen

All conference functions will take place at the Hilton New Orleans Airport Hotel. We have secured a special group rate of $149 per room per night (single or double). After you register, you will receive instructions on how to make your hotel reservations. The conference begins on Friday, January 23 at 6:00 pm and concludes on Sunday, January 25 at 12:30 pm.


Optional Mitzvah Day

On Friday, January 23, we will hold an optional mitzvah program for those attending the leadership conference. We will begin with breakfast at Cafe du Monde, and spend the day reading to youngsters from the Lafayette Academy Charter School. Box lunches will also be provided.

Please note, there is an additional $75 fee for participation in the mitzvah program. This event is limited to the first twenty-five registrants. You can opt-in to the mitzvah day program while registering for the leadership conference. Participants of the mitzvah program will need to arrive Thursday night and be ready for a full day of work on Friday.
