The Torah: A Women's Commentary Study Guide Program

Welcome to the Study Guide Program for
The Torah: A Women’s Commentary

"The more Torah, the more life." - Hillel

Since the publication in December 2007 of The Torah: A Women’s Commentary, Women of Reform Judaism, along with Commentary Editors Dr. Tamara Eskenazi, Dr. Rabbi Andrea Weiss, and Rabbi Hara Person, has been working to provide a study program to accompany this historic work.

The comprehensive materials we have produced include a User's Guide, which offers suggestions for establishing, organizing, and facilitating your study session. The study guide will provide you with a general framework for meaningful explorations of selected Torah portions through the lens of The Torah: A Women’s Commentary.  In addition, you will find guidelines to help ensure the success of your Torah study program.

The Study Guide will take you on an exploration of various themes of the parashah, with suggestions for how best to approach the material. Given the depth of the material, the study guide can be used for more than one session.

Women of Reform Judaism is excited to offer you these materials to enhance your experience of Torah study. We look forward to embarking on this journey of Torah study together. May our journeys be filled with insight, wisdom, and inspiration!

The following are the Parashiot which we will study in the upcoming year. The study guides will be made available four to six weeks in advance of each parashah.  As they are made available, you will be able to connect to the link.
